Interior painting

Walls, ceilings and joinery, in houses, flats, offices and shops.

Interior painting looks simple because it is visible. It is not: a poorly prepared ceiling shows up under the first raking light, and a bad join on a pale wall cannot be rescued. We work in three stages (substrate preparation, filling and sanding, application) and we never compress the first in favour of the last. The paints we apply are low in volatile organic compounds: the room is habitable quickly, with no lingering smell.

How we work

01

Protection and assessment

Full sheeting of floors and furniture, masking of joinery. Moisture and adhesion checks on the existing substrate.

02

Preparation

Removal of loose coatings, filling, skimming, sanding. This is where the final flatness is decided.

03

Primer

A bonding coat matched to the substrate: plaster, plasterboard, old paint, wood. Without it the finish will not last.

04

Finish

Two cross-laid coats, matt, soft sheen or satin depending on the room and its light. Full clean-down and reinstatement.

Frequently asked

How long for a 100 m² flat?

Five to eight working days depending on the state of the substrates and the number of colours. Preparation often takes more than half the time.

Do we need to move out during the work?

Rarely. Where possible we work room by room with low-odour paints. We agree the phasing at the site visit.

Do you supply the paint?

Yes, and its price appears on the quote with brand and reference named. If you want a particular colour or brand, we build it in.

Let's talk about your project.

A site visit, a detailed quote within 48 hours, no obligation.
