The context
A 1962 façade in tyrolean render, blackened on the street side and cracked at the spandrels. The owner wanted to repaint; the diagnosis said otherwise.
The constraint
The cracks followed the window sills: this was not a render problem but a sill waterproofing problem. We repaired the critical details before any finishing work. Otherwise the coating would have cracked in the same place by the first winter.
